- Students attend Broadway and Off-Broadway Theater two nights per week as a basis of exploration into period, play analysis, stylistic development etc. Class meets once a week for instruction in addition to attending the theater.
Michelle Bossy is the Associate Artistic Director of Primary Stages. For Primary Stages, she has produced over 20 productions, including the New York Premiere of Horton Foote's Dividing the Estate, which transferred to Broadway in 2008 in association with Lincoln Center and received a Tony nomination for Best Play. Ms. Bossy runs the Dorothy Strelsin New American Writer's Group and teaches playwriting and acting for the Einhorn School of Performing Arts at Primary Stages. She is an adjunct faculty member of The Tepper Semester/Syracuse University.
She also produced the independent production of Dread Awakening, and directed and produced the premieres of South Beach Rapture, Sarajevo's Child, Cumberland, Low Brow, and Missing Mike Vitelle. Recently, she directed the workshop production of I Love You, I Think by Bekah Brunstetter. Ms. Bossy holds the first undergraduate directing degree from Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts, and is a member of Lincoln Center Director's Lab.
