- For seniors in musical theatre. Individual lessons once a week for 30 minutes. They are designed to strengthen the actor/singer's vocal instrument and provide the student a technical base and protect it against misuse. Material from various genres will be worked on. Day and time will be arranged individually.
A professional singer/dancer from the age of 10 (as a petit soldat in Carmen with the Metropolitan Opera), and subsequently in all areas of the performing arts, and a wide array of major venues, including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Music Center of Los Angeles, Broadway productions, as well as regional, stock, and foreign and domestic touring companies.
Musical theatre credits include A Christmas Carol; No, No Nanette; Mack & Mabel; My Fair Lady; Hello, Dolly; Guys & Dolls; Fiddler on the Roof; and The Robber Bridegroom.
Ballet credits (as a character dancer with ABT, The Stuttgart Ballet, and the London Festival Ballet) include Swan Lake; Giselle; Petrushka; Le Sacre du Printemps; The Nutcracker; Don Quixote; Romeo & Juliet; and two appearances on PBS' Live From Lincoln Center series, in the American Ballet Theatre productions of The Firebird and La Bayadere.
Operatic credits include principal & leading roles in Don Giovanni; Cosi Fan Tutti; Albert Herring; The Old Maid & The Thief; and Die Tote Stadt.
A full time teacher since 1992. Students have appeared in every major musical production on Broadway of the past 20 years, as well as most major opera companies, film & television, and also include recording artists in virtually every musical genre. Teacher of vocal technique for the Tepper Semester since 2006.
